How to Manage Multiple Accounts in Metamask
You can easily manage multiple accounts within one Metamask wallet, whether for yourself, your children, your partner, or friends. There’s no need to open separate Metamask wallets for each person—doing so would require managing different passwords, which can get complicated. Instead, use a single Metamask account for all your wallets.
Why Manage Multiple Accounts?
- Buy SPURT and Inkagold: Once you’ve set up your account(s), you can buy SPURT Crypto and Inkagold, or others can send tokens to you.
- Send Tokens Between Accounts: You can send tokens between your own accounts for easy management.
Follow the steps below to set up new accounts and track your SPURT, Inkagold, and other tokens.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Access Your Metamask Account
- Open Metamask and click on your account name at the top. If you’ve renamed it, click the new name.
- Click the small arrow next to the account name.
- Add a New Account
- Click Add Account or Hardware Wallet.
- Important: Choose “Create a New Ethereum Account,” not “Import Account.”
- Rename the Account
- After creating the new account, click the three dots next to the account name and select Account Details.
- Rename the account to reflect the person’s name (or any name you choose).
- Click the checkmark to save the new name.
- Copy the New Account Address
- In Account Details, scroll to the bottom and click the copy address icon.
- Save this address outside your device for security.
- Show the Private Key
- Click Show Private Key in the Account Details menu.
- You’ll be prompted to enter your Metamask password for security.
- Click and hold the blue button to reveal the Private Key.
Important: This Private Key, combined with the Account Address, allows access to the account. Save it securely outside your device, such as in cloud storage or a printed copy, but never store it directly on your phone or computer.
- Fund the Account
- Use the new account address to fund the account yourself or share it with others who want to send crypto to you.
- Switch to Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
- Since Metamask defaults to Ethereum, switch the network to Binance Smart Chain (BSC). Click the network dropdown menu on the left and select Binance Smart Chain.
- Check Your Account on Binance
- Visit BSCScan, enter the account address you just created, and you’ll be able to see all the tokens in that account.
- Under Tokens, you can check the types and amounts of tokens you have. You’ll also find contract addresses for each token.
Key Points to Remember:
- One Metamask Wallet: Manage all your accounts with one wallet.
- Private Key Security: Keep your private key safe—it's the key to accessing your account.
- Binance Smart Chain: For SPURT, Inkagold, and other tokens, ensure you’re using the Binance Smart Chain network.
- Track Your Tokens: Use BSCScan to view the details of your tokens and check balances.
